How do you make working from home, work for you?
Now with COVID-19 quarantined starting around the globe, many more find themselves working from home for the first time. Today I am going to tell you 4 effective ways to make working from homework for you.
1. Pick your office space- You have to set a specific space that signals to your brain that you are on the clock. It can be a desk in a hall room, guest room, TV room or even your bedroom with the door closed.
2. Try to communicate frequently with colleagues- Working from home can be lonely and isolating. Try to communicate frequently to feel like you are a part of the team.
3. Prioritize- write to-do list- To-do list is the key to self-motivation. Take at least 10 minutes every morning to make the list. Prioritize 3–4 biggish tasks and do not be agonizing to prepare a secondary list that needs to be done.
4. Avoid working where you will be distracted- Do not work somewhere that will distract your concentration. It is also important to set boundaries with people around you in work from home settings.
Just because you have access to work anytime doesn’t mean you should pressurize yourself to work all the time. Allow yourself to create a work-life balance — we all need it, no matter where we are working.
